NASA contracted with Source West for three years to refurbish and rehab their Knoll Equity modular workstations. Source West delivered hundreds of thousands of refurbished components with near zero defects in finish or function. In a recent competitive rebid, Source West was underbid, but was still awarded the contract. The NASA staff literally destroyed production samples testing for delamination stress, paint chipping and structural failure. NASA determined that the components remanufactured by Source West were indistinguishable from new.
